Set in 1930s Britain, the trailer follows the famed paranormal psychologist Dr. Nandor Fodor as he investigates a family's claims about a talking mongoose named Gef who lives in their barn. To little surprise, Dr. Fodor doesn't actually catch a glimpse of the talking animal, though he does uncover a mysterious web of hidden motives.

The Incredible True Story (& Cast) Behind Nandor Fodor & The Talking Mongoose

The film centers on the case of the Irving family who lived in a remote farmhouse on the Isle of Man and had alleged encounters with a talking animal named Gef. The phenomenon not only attracted the attention of Nandor Fodor, but a few other famous psychic investigators and skeptics including Harry Houdini, who is seen in the trailer played by Edmund Kingsley. Dr. Fodor approached the case with an open mind but also with skepticism, aiming to ascertain whether the Irvings were actually experiencing something paranormal or perpetuating a hoax (the latter is more likely true).
